ISPM 15 Compliant Pallets

Many companies are beginning to focus on the growth of the global economy and are much more interested in exporting products. For the variety of countries though, there are scores of different restrictions on packing materials that can be sent overseas. One Way Solutions is proud to be fully ISPM15 compliant, and we only sell pallets and skids that are safe for import and export to any country. With the costs of wood pallets increasing and the need to be more competitive in the global marketplace becoming a way of life, making sure that your international pallets are fully ISPM 15 compliant is an important requirement.

In order to prevent foreign flora and fauna from being carried to a new ecosystem, the ISPM 15 requirements were developed to ensure the safety of both countries importing and exporting products. The requirements stipulate that all wood packaging material must be either fumigated or heat treated to obtain a core temperature 56°C for a minimum of 30 minutes in order to be fully compliant. While not all countries are only accepting ISPM 15 compliant packaging materials, all have agreed to become so by a date in the future.

However, the plastic pallets offered by One Way Solutions are impervious to insects, nematodes, and other diseases that can be harmful to the wildlife and forests of other countries. As well, our presswood pallets are fully ISPM 15 compliant because the high heat manufacturing process that is used burns out all infestations in the wood. Our presswood pallets also have a low moisture content of 6% to 9% which eliminates product contamination because it does not attract moisture sensing insects and eliminates the need for moisture barrier sheets.
